The tiny hand pendant measures approximately .5" and it's set with a Czech crystal in turquoise or opal and hangs from an 18" 14k gold plated brass chain (coated to resist tarnish and create a hypoallergenic surface). The symbol of a hand with an eye in the palm appears in many cultures and forms. Most commonly, the Hamsa symbol is for protection and to ward off the evil eye.
